Do you want to work in a varied and independent role where you make a real difference for patients? We are now looking for a Medical Podiatrist for the Medicine Clinic at Västervik Hospital.

Here, you are offered a varied and independent job where, as a Medical Podiatrist, you play an important role in the preventive care for our patients. The work involves assessment, treatment, and follow-up within specific diagnostic groups, where some patients require lifelong treatment. The role also includes some wound care. We are organized in a multidisciplinary foot team with monthly meetings for knowledge exchange. We have close collaboration with ForMotion Orthopedic Technology, where patients are referred for orthopedic technical assessments and interventions. We also have good cooperation between our clinics and wards, which creates opportunities to combine the work as a Medical Podiatrist with other clinic or ward duties.

Depending on your basic profession, the position will include different tasks. For you as a nursing assistant, the work will be combined with reception duties, sample collection, ECG, and assisting doctors during their consultations. For you as a registered nurse, the work will be combined with clinic duties and/or rotation to one of the Medicine Clinic's three care wards. On Medicine Ward 4, patients with acute heart disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias are primarily cared for and treated. On Medicine Ward 5, patients with lung disease, diabetes, and kidney disease are cared for, and on Medicine Ward 6, there is specialized competence primarily within stroke care and neurology.

About You

We are looking for you who are trained as a Medical Podiatrist and are a registered nurse or have a basic education as a nursing assistant. Previous experience in diabetic foot care and/or wound care is considered highly meritorious. You have a strong commitment to the patient encounter and always put the patient's best interests first. With a holistic perspective, you see both the individual and the important details in care. You are confident in your professional role, have good collaboration skills, and can work independently. You contribute to a positive work climate through a solution-focused approach where you see opportunities rather than obstacles. As a person, you are flexible, helpful, and responsible. To succeed in this role, it is important that you master the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis. The position may be filled before the application deadline, so please submit your application today!
